Trade Cabinet Secretary Nominee Lee Kinyanjui has Finally Spoken on New Role Amid Widespread Rumours of Rejecting Ruto’s Offer
He was named a cabinet Secretary alongside ex-Kiambu Governor William Kabogo (ICT and Digital Economy) and former Health CS Mutahi Kagwe to lead the Agriculture ministry.
Despite the announcement, Kinyanjui remained quiet, fueling widespread speculation, including rumors on social media suggesting that he had declined the position.
However, in his first public statement since the nomination, Kinyanjui expressed his gratitude to the President.
The nominees are set to be appear before the National Assembly’s Committee on Appointments on January 14 for vetting.
