Gov’t Releases 2025 School Calendar For Pre- Primary, Primary and Secondary Schools
All schools are set to reopen for the first term on January 6, 2025, and close on April 4 after 13 weeks of studies.
During the first term, students will proceed for half term for five days, between February 26 to March 2. Consequently, they will resume studies are thereafter proceed for to first term holiday from April 7 to April 25( 3 weeks).
The second term would begin on April 28, during which students would study for 14 weeks before proceeding to the second term holidays on August 1, 2025

In the second term of study, students will be given a five-day half-term between June 25 and June 29. The learners would then proceed to the second term holiday for three weeks from August 4, to August 22.
The third term will begin on August 25 and last for only nine weeks, after which schools would close for the November and December holidays on October 24.
The Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) 2025 would then start on October 27 and last for four days up to October 30.
The Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment (KILEA) exams will start on October 27 and end on October 31.
The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) will run for three weeks between November 3 and November 21.
