Regional and Sub-County Allocation of 5,862 Primary Teachers Vacancies As Released by TSC.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced the allocation of 5,862 primary school teachers across regions in Kenya.
According to TSC, the latest allocation aims to bridge the staffing gap in schools and Kenya’s education sector.
Rift Valley Region
Baringo was 154 teachers, distributed among sub-counties such as Baringo Central (38) and Baringo North (32).
Bomet received 80 teachers, with disributions in Bomet Central (17) and Chepalungu (18).
Elgeyo Marakwet received 90 teachers, while Kericho and Laikipia were assigned 130 and 111 teachers respectively. Narok was allocated 81 teachers.
Uasin Gishu was got an allocation of 132 teachers, with Turbo and Moiben receiving 24 and 25 teachers respectively.
Western Region
Bungoma was given 203 teachers distributed in Bungoma Central (27) and Tongaren (26). Busia received 125 teachers, distributed in Butula (23) and Teso North (21).
Kakamega received 282 teachers, distributed in Butere (40) and Lugari (31). Vihiga was assigned 88 teachers.
West Pokot received 56 teachers, whereas Trans Nzoia got an allocated of 104 teachers.
Nyanza Region
Homa Bay was received 135 teachers with Homa Bay Town receiving 22. Kisii was allocated 153 teachers, distributed in sub-counties such as Masaba South (26).
Kisumu and Migori received 176 and 136 teachers respectively, while Nyamira got 76 teachers.
Siaya got 183 teachers, with distributions in sub-counties such as Siaya Town (42) and Ugunja(32)
Central Region
Kiambu received 241 teachers, distributed in Githunguri (28) and Limuru (22). Kirinyaga and Murang’a were allocated 131 and 250 teachers respectively. Nyandarua received 145, while Nyeri received 214.
Eastern Region
Embu received 162 teachers, while Kitui was allocated a total of 301 teachers, distributed in sub-counties such as Kitui West (37).
Machakos received 263 teachers, and Makueni was allocated 215 teachers. Meru received 241 teachers, with Imenti South received 51 teachers
Coast Region
Kilifi received 110 teachers, while Kwale received 76. Lamu was allocated 13 teachers, Mombasa 56, and Taita Taveta 51. Tana River got an allocation of 29 teachers.
North Eastern Region
Garissa received an allocation of 7 teachers, Mandera 4, Wajir 13, and Marsabit 8. Isiolo was assigned 10 teachers.
Nairobi Region
Nairobi County received 167 teachers, distributed in Embakasi (33) and Kasarani (31).
Additional Counties
Counties such as Turkana and Samburu got an allocation of 13 and 21 teachers respectively.
