Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, who has been missing from the public eye for weeks, resurfaced on Saturday, dismissing umours of a rift between him and President Ruto.
The claims emerged after Kindiki, who since taking office in November has been with the Head of State in many major public events, quietly left the public space, making no appearances including the burial of National Assembly Moses Wetangula’s mother on Friday.
Speaking during the wedding ceremony of the son of Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano in Tigoni, Kiambu County, Kindiki revealed that he has been on holiday and his absence did not have anything to do with claims of division.
The DP instead asked Kenyans to stay away from diversionary talks and help the government advance its development agendas to the people of Kenya.
