The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has confirmed that three people lost their lives following a light aircraft crash on Friday at Malindi.
According to KCAA Director General Emile Arao, the fatalities were all on the ground when the aircraft came down in the Kwachocha area along the Malindi-Mombasa highway.
Those on board, a pilot, an instructor and a student, sustained minor injuries and were rushed to Twafiq Hospital in Malindi.
Police in Kilifi ccounty have established that the fatalities were two boda boda riders and a pillion passenger.
Footage shared online showed parts of the aircraft lying on the road with a huge flame close by, indicating that it burst into flames on impact
