President William Ruto has appointed former Gender Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa as the non-executive chairperson of the Kenya Roads Board.
On the same note, Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya has picked Millicent Omanga as a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Shipyard Limited.
Through a Gazette notice dated January 17, Ruto stated that Omanga would serve in the position for a period of three years effective immediately.
The President therefore revoked the appointment of Ahmed Kolosh Mohamed.
Tuya’s appointment of Omanga marks the third attempt for Ruto to appoint her to the government. Her tenure started on January 14 according to the gazette notice.
