Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has made sweeping changes to her cabinet in a bid to enhance service delivery.
Through a Gazette notice, Wanga nominated Elijah Munga as the new executive member for Youth and Sports.
If approved by Homa Bay County Assembly for vetting, he will replace Sarah Malit, who has been reassigned as the executive member for Fisheries.
The new changes also see Roseline Omollo, who had been at the helm of the Health docket, swapped with Mercy Osewe at Governance and Devolution.
Joash Aloo has been moved from the Department of Water, Irrigation, Sanitation, Environment, Energy, and Climate Change to the Trade docket.
The reshuffle comes just two months after the county’s Trade executive, Polycarp Okombo, was elected as the Speaker of the Homa Bay County Assembly.
While announcing the reshuffle, the governor said the changes were necessary, especially following Okombo’s departure
