The head of state on Tuesday presided over the first Cabinet meeting at Kakamega State Lodge.
However, Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi was no show, days after his absence was noticed during the Cabinet Secretaries’ swearing in.
A group photo of President William Ruto, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, and the Cabinet secretaries captured everyone except Muturi.
CS Muturi has also remained silent, not commenting about the Cabinet meeting like his counterparts.
This follows his explosive statement that implicated the National Intelligence Service in the abduction of his son Leslie.
CS also addressed threats from some Members of Parliament, demanding he resigns or face an impeachment.
South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro gave Muturi an ultimatum, demanding his resignation or an apology for his abduction remarks
He stated that if Muturi fails to do either, he will lead the impeachment motion against him at the National Assembly.
Osoro accused Muturi of failing in his Cabinet duties and disrespecting the government by airing grievances publicly instead of addressing them internally.
However, Speaking at Kilimani Police Station, where he had gone to record a statement about his son Leslie’s abduction, the Cabinet secretary challenged Mprocee”bring it on”
He said he is too old to respond to what he described as perfunctory statements from politicians.
He outlined that anyone who thinks he is unaware of his actions of calling out abductions will be in for a rude shock.
