Governor Cecily Mbarire has reshuffled her cabinet following the resignation of Chief Officer Nicholas Kunga, stating that the reorganization is to enhance service delivery and smoothen operations.
Raymond Kinyua was moved from Lands, Mining, and Urban Planning to the Water, Irrigation, and Climate Change docket.
Paul Njoroge will now oversee Transport, Energy, and Logistics alongside Roads and Public Works.
Peter Njagi will handle TVET and Vocational Training Centers in addition to Lands and Mining.
Stephen Njeru has been assigned both the Livestock and Blue Economy docket alongside Agriculture.
Pithon Mugambi, who oversees Early Childhood Development and Education, will now also be in charge of Resource Mobilization and Partnerships.
Erastus Njeru, currently in Economic Planning and Budgeting, will now take over Environment and Natural Resources.
Governor Mbarire noted that unaffected Chief Officers and CECs would retain their current roles.
