The headteacher of Nyakianga Primary School was chased away from the school’s premises by angry parents who stormed the institution on Saturday after reports of defilement at the school.
Speaking to the media, the parents reported that the school head had turned a blind eye despite several students reporting that a Grade seven student was defiling and sodomising them.
“Our children have been getting harrassed by the boy. He asks them for money, oil, and sugar and even assaults them with a knife he keeps on his desk. This is why we are saying we have no faith in the school. The headteacher has to go and never come back,” one of the parents lamented.
Another parent even accused the headteacher of displaying behaviour that the boy emulated leading him to carry out the depraved actions.
“The headteacher and his wife should never come back here because they are the ones who have shown these children such behaviour. They always behave badly in front of the children. It is a ‘Monkey see, monkey do’ kind of situation,” she stated
According to the victims, he would lure them into classrooms armed with a knife while the other students and teachers were occupied.
After violating his victims, he would then reportedly threaten them with violence if they ever told anyone. He would also take pictures of his naked victims.
Despite this, the victims went on to report the matter several times to the school head who failed to take any action, leading the parents to intervene.
“The teachers have done no wrong. I have heard your concerns and I have taken notes to give to my seniors to explain the situation in Nyakianga and they will hear me out. Let us keep the peace for the time being and bring back the children on Monday,” stated Gabriel Kinoru, the Mathioya Education Officer.
