Mass House Club in Nairobi, located along Ngong Racecourse, is on the spot after a university student died under unclear circumstances on Valentine’s Day.
In an official statement, the club stated that the incident occurred between the late hours of Friday, February 14, and the early hours of Saturday, February 15, 2025.
The club has since expressed sympathy to the family and confirmed that it is working closely with authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the student’s death.
“Between the late hours of Friday and early Saturday an incident occurred within our premises and as such we extend our sympathies to the victim’s loved one,” the statement read in part.
“Despite us being unable to share any detailed information regarding the incident, we are cooperating fully with the relevant authorities in their ongoing investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident,” the statement read.
Mass House Club went to assure that it is committed to transparency and will provide appropriate updates on the progress of the investigations.
“Masshouse is firmly dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our clients remains a top priority. We ask for your patience and understanding at this time,” the statement continued.
This comes days after the brother of the deceased took to the internet to announce the tragic death. The news caused an uproar, with netizens demanding to know what exactly happened.
“Good morning Kenyans, please assist me, I lost my brother on Sunday at Mass House. The police report said, the joint found a young man collapsed kwa stairs, autopsy jana shows he was killed,” his tweet read.
