3 IEBC staff and a foreigner altered presidential results, stated Commissioner Nyang’aya.
Commissioner Nyang’aya has revealed that 3 IEBC staff and a foreigner altered presidential results.
In the affidavit that he filed as a 5th respondent in the Azimio la Umoja presidential petition, Commissioners Nyang’aya exposed alledged schemes that he saw at the official tallying centre, Bomas.
Mr. Nyang’aya stated that, despite his role as the Information communication technology in charge, he was instructed to only follow protocol.
He further said that , based on his expectations, his job description mandates him to be actively involved in the information communication and technology ( ICT) department.
He also thought that he would be the one to direct, negotiate and even discuss matters pertaining the information communication and technology(ICT) at the Bomas of Kenya.
Nyang’aya in his affidavit, went ahead to implicate a foreigner by the name Gudino Omor.
Gudino’s Omor’s job was to pull down any forms 34As and upload new ones which is contrary to the ethics of IEBC.
Nyang’aya said,”As far as I am aware, the commission had developed any protocol or other guidelines that would indicate circumstances when an already uploaded form 34A from the polling station would be pulled down and be replaced subsequently.”
Nyang’aya went ahead to reveal that the foreigner, Gudino Omor started working at the ICT department as soon as the elections started.
Nyang’aya said,”” I do not understand what a foreigner would be doing on the IEBC server during the election period nor do I understand why Gudino Omor was always busy on the server at night.”
Nyang’aya went ahead to reveal three other independent electoral and boundaries commission staffers who were assigned to pull down forms 34As. Namely: Abdidahir Maalim, Moses Sunkuli and Gideon Balang.
He stated that the three , were working together with the chair in processing altered results.
