We have already employed 35, 000 teachers this year-Ruto on Education.
Speaking today at the centenary Celebration of Limuru girls, The head of state revealed that already his government has secured jobs for teachers across the country.
He added that more teachers will be employed next year to ensure Kenya attains academic excellence and all students get the best.
He stated,”We have already employed 35, 000 teachers this year and the largest we intend to add next year because we want to have our children get the necessary quality education.”
Further, the president outlined his plan to modernise education across schools in the country. He highlighted that through this, the quality of education will be improved
He stated,” We are expanding and modernising infrastructure in schools so as to boost their enrollment and enhance the quality of education. In the long run, this will empower more of our youth, hence make our country more equal and prosperous.”
He delivered a school bus and commissioned the construction of the institution’s administration block.
Notably, Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua who was at the same event, stated that Academic excellence is the epitome of well established learning institutions that shape and impact society and a nation.
He stated,”The institution in Kiambu County is among the traditional national schools that have performed highly and churned out professionals who have contributed to the growth and development of our Nation for years.
“We will continue investing in such schools and other upcoming institutions to give them more impetus in delivering quality education.I encouraged the students to be focused in their studies because they have a great opportunity to be excellent professionals and leaders who will join us to build our nation,” he added.
