54 Ugandan Soldiers killed by Al shabaab at Somalia- President Museveni.

In a communique, The Ugandan President announced the sad news of 54 Ugandan Soldiers killed by Al shabaab at Somalia.
This comes after Al Shabaab attacked a base, housing African Union peacekeepers in Bulamarer, located 130 kilometers southwest of Mogadishu.
According to the president, Two commanders are to be blamed for the unfortunate incident because they asked the soldiers to retreat. He affirmed that the two have been put in custody.
The head of state further outlined that the Ugandan Defence have since been able to recapture the base from the terrorists.
He stated,”Our soldiers demonstrated remarkable resilience and reorganized themselves, resulting in the recapture of the base. We discovered the lifeless bodies of fifty-four fallen soldiers, including a Commander,”
“These terrorists attempted another ill-fated attack on Baraawe Town, but our forces dealt a significant blow, forcing them to flee,” he added
