Our media house sampled some of the opinions from netizens after the Finance Act 2023 underwent suspension.
Pauline stated,”As a country we never appreciate the Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah enough. This man isn’t a lawyer but has been able to put down the Punitive Finance Act 2023 at the High Court. The KK regime is having a test of it’s own medicine just like the way they did to the BBI propasals.”
The government critic stated,”Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah will definitely win the Finance Act 2023 petition against Zakayo. President Ruto coerced Kenya Kwanza MPs to pass it irregardless of fierce opposition from Kenyans. If the court doesn’t consider that, the we shall they got compromised.”
Hon. Kuria Kimani wrote,”I read mischief in Okiya Omtatah’s conservatory orders on Finance Act 2023. There was no violation of the PFM Act, 2012 act both the Finance Act and Appropriations Act were assented to by the President on the same day. However, Finance Bill 2023 has been the most litigated piece of legislation since the promulgation of the new constitution. So see you in court! Another hot air in the offing.”
Edgara expressed,”President William Ruto is a smart politician, He knew the Finance Act 2023 was illegal and it wouldn’t pass in court so he hastened the process and quickly signed it into law. Whatever the court says at this point is pointless Ruto will tell you it’s the Law.”
