This time you will not go scot free- Cherargei to Raila on Saba Saba rally.
Speaking to the media, Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei highlighted that if anything disrupts the normal functioning of the country during the scheduled Saba saba rally, then arrests must be made.
The senator slammed the door on the opposition leader saying he is so predictable and has not developed new tactics compared to 1997.
He stated,”If any property is destroyed or lives are lost during Saba Saba, Raila Odinga and other Azimio principles must be held accountable including taking them to court, being fined, and being arrested.”
“ He has no new tactics since 1997. You lose an election, challenge the current government and call for demos. This time you will not go scot-free, we must bring order to the nation,” he added.
Cherargei further posed on why the opposition is not offering a solution to the high cost of living, instead of using the youth to demolish property.
He however, highlighted that Kenya kwanza will protect the country from any chaos that the opposition leader is planning.
He stated,” If they are demonstrating over the economy, what is the alternative they have offered? This is not unique to Kenya. If you travel across the world, you will hear them complaining about the economy.”
“ I want to ensure the public that the government will protect their property and lives,” he added.
This comes after Raila promised to hold a saba saba rally where he will reveal the strategies, to impair Ruto’s government.
He stated,”We the people will convene for a major declaration on the Saba Saba day on Friday, June 7, 2023. At the event, we will announce a number of strategies that will cripple Ruto’s regime.”
