Road CS commissions certification of Electric Motorbike operators, as earlier promised by the head of state.
He stated,”Pleased to officially commission the certification of 60 boda boda operators who have completed training on the operation and maintenance of electric motorcycles courtesy of KCB, KCB Foundation and United Nations Institute for Training and Research.”
Notably, he highlighted the significance of financial institutions in making sure the government is addressing climate change and promoting a green Kenya.
He also expressed his optimism in this commitments that are promoting the transport sector through creation of employment.
He stated,”The event, held in Nairobi this morning, exemplifies the immense involvement of the financial sector in addressing climate change, and their support for the Government’s gravitation towards e-mobility as a way of promoting a clean and green Kenya,”
“We are happy that these commitments are creating sustainability and employment in the transport sector while improving Kenya’s attractiveness for green financing,” he added.
The Cabinet secretary urged all stakeholders to join in the government in Assembly of the electric motorbikes which is President William Ruto’s initiative.
I urge more transport sector players and stakeholders to join in this noble endeavour and support the Government’s plan to enable the assembly of electric motorcycles in Kenya.
The head of state, H.E. the President William Ruto, had promised to launch electric motorbikes in Kenya, which is part of his bottom- up agenda.
