Even if Azimio collects 10 million signatures, where will they take them- DP Gachagua
Speaking yesterday at the funeral of David Muriithi Njogu aka Wamurii, at Giaituu Village, Mathira Constituency in Nyeri County, The second in command mourned the fallen soldier.
He stated,”We have laid to rest a selfless community leader and mobiliser, David Muriithi Njogu aka Wamurii, at Giaituu Village, Mathira Constituency in Nyeri County. A committed family man who valued and nurtured societal ethos in those who looked up to him, Wamurii was a diligent worker and mentor. We shall miss him.
“We pray that the Lord grants his family, friends, and the community the grace to bear this loss. Rest in Eternal Peace, my friend,” he added.
On matters politics, The deputy president mocked the opposition leader Raila Odinga, Saying even if Azimio collects 10 million signatures, they have no where to take them.
He stated,” Azimio people must know that elections are over. Elections were won and lost… let us move on. The truth of the matter is that William Ruto is the president of Kenya and nothing can change that fact.
“Even if they collect 10 million signatures, where will they take them? To who? Matters elections are not decided by signatures, They are decided on the ballot. A specific date was set for that purpose until the end of 5 years. What they should be doing is preparing themselves for the next contest,” he added.
Sharing the same sentiments was Senator Boni Khalwale who outlined that a president cannot be impeached by Signatures.
Boni Khalwale stated,”Babaman taking ODM followers, for fools. The president can be removed not thru signatures but
~by the Senate thru impeachment
~by a tribunal supported by National Assembly due to physical or mental incapacity.”
