You cannot have a referendum based on 10 million signatures- Miguna on Raila’s quest.
Advocate Miguna Miguna has downplayed Raila’s quest to collect 10 million signatures, stating that no referendum can be held even if, he manages to collect the signatures.
He stated,”You cannot have a referendum based on 10 million signatures, even if you manage to collect them, when there is no QUESTION put to the people for it. Accept that you have no pathway to power. Give up. You have reached a dead end. Another Kenyan will take up the role you have failed to effectively perform in the past 45 years.”
This comes a day after he urged Opposition leader, Raila Odinga to choose want he wants and act accordingly.
Miguna stated,” Raila Odinga should choose what he really wants and pursue it. Does he want to be paid by President William Ruto the way I understand he has demanded or he wants power? Does he want to collect 10 million signatures “to kick Ruto out” or he wants to do so through street protests?
”I ask because one cannot collect 10 million signatures in an environment of chaos. Conman Raila Odinga must learn that nothing can be achieved without discipline. So far, he is using the jobless youth to cause mayhem with the hope of negotiating for more largesse. But that won’t happen. 45 years of confusion, chaos and sacrificing innocent but gullible youth won’t achieve anything,” he added.
