What I am asking is within the Bible- DP Gachagua on government shareholders.
Speaking at Nandi County, The second in command expressed that he has no regret over the remarks he made on some Kenyans having major shares in Kenya kwanza government.
He made a reference through the holy book, clearly stating that whatever remarks he made was right.
He stated,”The matter of saying those who voted (for this government) be looked after is Biblical. What I am asking is within the Bible,”
He made a reference to Galatians 6:10 in the Bible, which says, “So then, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. 10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.”
Deputy president Gachagua further refuted claims of any rift between him and President William Ruto. He stated that him and Ruto will always speak the same language.
He stated,” It is in the Bible; not my words. I want to tell these people, don’t waste your time, there will be no division in this government. President William Ruto and I talk the same language. We consult, agree and move on.”
Notably, The deputy president accorded praise to the retiring Bishop Eli Rop, after serving for over 30 years.
Dp Gachagua stated,”Bishop Rop is a renowned leader with an impeccable record. He has immensely contributed to instilling and shaping societal and religious values to the family structure and the community. He has been a focused and committed evangelist, who has championed peace and community integration, the right to education for the girl child, among others.”
“As he retires, Bishop Rop remains an inspiration for the upcoming leaders in steering the community to prosperity through selfless
service. Even at retirement, the church and the community will benefit from his wise counsel on contemporary issues,” he added.
