Call for Humanitarian Access to Gaza as Israel cuts off power and Supplies.
According to the United Nations Secretary General, essentials should be allowed to reach Gaza even as the blockade has taken course.
This comes after Gaza’s only power station shut down, after Israel cut off electricity supplies as well as goods including medicines, food, fuel and water
The white house has revealed that the United States is in talks with Israel, the UN and Egypt on allowing some aid in and residents
He stated,”Essential supplies of food, fuel and water must be allowed to reach civilians in Gaza under Israeli bombardment and blockade. We need rapid and unimpeded humanitarian access now.”
The war enters day six as Israeli military confirms that hundreds of thousands of troops are near Gaza.
They stated,” We are ready to execute the mission we have been given.”
The toll on both sides is now almost 2,500. Israel says 1,200 people were killed in the Hamas attack, while 1,200 have been killed in Gaza.
Notably, The United Nations revealed that over 338,000 people have been displaced in Gaza as Israel continues its aerial strikes on the area.
There has been a push for a humanitarian corridor to let Palestinians leave the conflict zone, where many homes have been brought down and destroyed by the airstrikes.
