Ezra Chiloba Resigns as Communications Authority Director General.
Communications Authority of Kenya, Through its board of directors, has confirmed the Ezra Chiloba has resigned.
This comes after The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission launched investigations following the allegations of graft on Ezra Chiloba.
CA chairperson stated,”On behalf of the Authority, I wish the outgoing Director General success in his future endeavours and appreciate his invaluable contribution to the organization and the wider ICT sector.”
Ezra Chiloba was has served as the Communications Authority of Kenya, Director General for two years, having been appointed in October 2021.
In september of this year, he was suspended indefinitely after a board meeting that was held by the authority, thereby, he was replaced by Christopher Wambua in an acting capacity.
He was suspended together with Human Resources, Legal Services, the Internal Auditor, and Finance directors.
The Named individuals, are being accused of misappropriating approximately Ksh662 million in the staff mortgage.
It was discover that Ezra Chiloba bought a house and seven acres of land, which is more than the required one-acre limit set by the Civil Servants Housing.
Special Board Audit and Risk Committee stated,”Management should hold those responsible to account and recover the liabilities within the next 30 days.”
