The country can also demonstrate, Raila is not going back to the streets- Kalonzo.
Speaking at a church service in Kajiado County, The former Vice President, Kalonzo Musyoka stated that he won’t allow Raila to demonstrate.
He outlined that kenyans can also stand up for themselves, not waiting for the opposition to go back to the streets.
Kalonzo was responding to calls from the clergy asking the opposition leader to step up and defend the people of Kenya, from the newly introduced taxes.
He stated,”You have asked Raila not to relax and keep quiet, it’s not just Raila and Kalonzo that should be advocating for the rights.”
“You can’t wait for just Kalonzo and Raila and Kalonzo to go back to demonstrations, I can’t allow Raila to go back to demonstrations, let the country do it,” he added.
On matters Mavoko demolition, Kalonzo stated that they are still going to advocate for rights of the victims.
He stated,”We will advocate for our rights in a way that does not depict us as lesser citizens but as equal under the law.”
On her part, Martha Karua stated that they won’t be holding any dialogue because Kenya kwanza is not genuine, however, she is ready to go back to the streets if need be.
She stated,”Without sincerity, dialogue will not bear any fruit…Be sincere. We know that the only people that can sabotage the talks is your team.”
“My brother Kalonzo, I’m not saying I will not go to the streets. If it becomes necessary I will,” she added.
