31 years of Busting criminals and solving complicated Murder puzzles: The Unshakeable Martin Nyuguto.
Meet the unshakeable detective who has spent his entire 31-year career busting criminals and solving the country’s most complicated murder puzzles.
He is the man at the centre of the Shakahola exhumation exercise and Kenya’s top homicide detective, Senior Superintendent Martin Nyuguto.
Detective Nyuguto is not your usual cop as he has seen every facet of evil, in exhuming dead bodies and dealing with murder suspects in pursuit of justice to victims of crime.
As Chief Inspector Mike Mugo, describes the man at the helm of DCI’s Homicide Department, Mr Nyuguto, presents himself with authority, is no pushover and always gets better of the bad guys.
The man who has solved most of his cases by cold reasoning and in most instances gotten confessions from criminals after laying out his watertight case.
He says,” Not all of our work is done in the field and actually most of our major breakthroughs that we have done in the past come about as a result of deep thought and logical reasoning. While homicide detectives must be skilled at investigation and evidence collection, these efforts don’t mean much if the investigator can’t piece his or her findings together in a convincing and meaningful way.”
“He or she must follow his or her instincts and take time to think through the many pieces of puzzle. Sometimes it can be very frustrating and slow,” he adds
Mr. Nyuguto is a highly decorated officer whose perfomance has earned him recognition not only in the country but also internationally.
