Who said we are not united?- Kabogo to DP Gachagua on Mt. Kenya unity.
Speaking during an Interview at SPice FM, Former Kiambu governor, urged DP Gachagua to stop his rally call of the ‘one man, one shilling, one vote. He cited that this will see equitable sharing of resources in the Country.
Kabogo further pointed fingers at the deputy president, saying that He should focus on bringing unity in the whole of Kenya, not just Mt. Kenya because he is now a deputy president.
Kabogo posed,”He is the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya. If we go by the old days it is eight provinces, so what is his business in central Kenya? Who said we are not united?”
“This is about Kenyan representation. No taxation without representation. That is the first job of your MP, to go out there and represent their constituents as they are taxed,” he added.
The former governor further highlighted that it is impossible for Kenya kwanza to get 100 per cent of votes in Mt. Kenya, even if they use the agenda of shareholders.
He stated,”There is no way you will be voted in by 100 per cent of the population. Something must be very wrong with that society, there is no way, even if he does elections again, he will not get 87 per cent of the total votes. Let us just know that is the truth and move on.”
This comes after the Deputy president called for Unity in Mt. Unity, rallying them to vote for President William Ruto, come 2027.
DP Gachagua stated,”President William Ruto and I want all Kenyans to be one team, one people for the development of this country since the elections are over. In this region during the last elections, we were divided to a certain extent,”
“Some 87 per cent voted for President Ruto and 13 per cent voted the other way. The elections are over and I have on record invited those who did not support us to come and work together for our region and country because there is no enmity or quarrel. Election is like a sport and should not be taken beyond there,” he added.
