Whether you like it or not, a luhya will succeed Ruto- Khalwale to DP Gachagua.
Speaking on Monday speaking during the tree planting exercise at Shamberere National Polytechnic in Malava Constituency, Boni Khalwale the Kakamega County senator stated that it’s high time the deputy president respects people from western.
Khalwale further stated that president Ruto will leave Gachagua the same way he was left by Uhuru because a luhya must sit on the presidential seat.
He stated,”Deputy President listen to me, whether you like it or not in 2032, the way Uhuru left and Ruto entered, when Ruto leaves it will be a Luhya who will enter.”
Khalwale hinted at himself taking over the seat since he’s more learned and experienced in matter political literacy,as compared to the deputy president
“It has to be clear. Nobody at the national level or the county level is going to play cheap politics on us. If it’s about education, I’m more learned and four times more experienced than the Deputy President,”
“He must respect our community. We are not a small community, we are a community of seven million people,” he added.
Notably, Khalwale outlined that deputy president Rigathi Gachagua is only championing for people from central, forgetting other regions of the country.
The deputy president has been vocal about coffee cartels, highlighting that the fight is still on. He highlighted that the cartels have become a problem because they are so entrenched, they have been fleecing farmers for 30 years. They are like ticks,” the DP said as he vowed to bring reforms in the Agriculture.
Khalwale called out,”We want just as the Deputy President has decided to fight for coffee farmers, whether I’m Deputy President or not, I will equally fight for sugarcane.”
