FKF puts up Stadium ban on Gor Mahia fans; Reasons why
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) League and Competitions Committee, FKF puts up stadium ban on Gor Mahia fans, on Friday afternoon over conduct during Saturday’s match against Murang’a Seals.
This means that Gor mahia will play their next five league matches in empty stadia. FKF further fined the club Sh. 0.5 million over chaos and vandalism that happened in the last games
Notably, The committee summoned Gor Mahia players – Benson Omalla, Rodgers Mugisha and Joshua Onyango over their unheard of conduct during their Premier League match against Murang’a SEAL on Saturday at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani.
This comes a day after Sports Kenya also imposed a Sh. 2 million fine on Gor Mahia over vandalism at the stadium during the match, and banned the Team from using the facility until the fine is paid.
The repercussions of this bans include a forced cancellation of their friendly against Tanzanian side Azam FC which was set for Sunday at the stadium.
The Gor Mahia management has however swore to appeal against the decision at the Sports Disputes Tribunal, which they deemed as unjust.
