Chirchir Ranked the worst perfoming CS as Kindiki tops the list, in the Latest TIFA poll.
Energy Cabinet secretary, Davis Chirchir Ranked as the worst perfoming CS, among the 22 cabinet secretaries handpicked by President Ruto.
In the TIFA poll that was conducted between November 25 and December 7, 2023, Chirchir scored a meagre 19 per cent approval rating indicating that Kenyans are dissatisfied with his performance.
Notably, Interior cabinet secretary, Kithure Kindiki was ranked as the top perfoming cabinet secretary. He got a score of 65 per cent.
Other top perfoming cabinet secretaries included Musalia Mudavadi, who is the current Prime Cabinet Secretary and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ezekiel Machogu who is the Minister for Education, and Kipchumba Murkomen in Roads and Transport. All of them received ratings above 50 per cent.
OtherCabinet Secretaries such as Aden Duale in Defense, Susan Nakhumincha in Health, and Eliud Owalo in ICT & Digital Economy did not perfom badly as well.
TIFA poll stated,”At least one-third of Kenyans mention Kindiki Kithure as the best performing Cabinet Secretary.”
As compared to the TIFA poll that was held in July 2023, Kindiki still emerged as the top performer with a rating of 34 per cent.
Simon Chelugui (Co-operatives and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development, MSMEs), Davis Chirchir (Energy and Petroleum), Alfred Mutua (Foreign Affairs), Alice Wahome (Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation), and Salim Mvurya (Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs) collectively scored 4 per cent.
Others such as CS Moses Kuria, Aden Duale (Defence), Eliud Owalo (ICT), Njunguna Ndung’u (Treasury), and Musalia Mudavadi (Prime Cabinet Secretary), received a meagre 1 per cent.
