Uproar as Roads CS Murkomen calls Rwanda an Autocracy: While holding an interview at a media station, Roads CS Kipchumba highlighted that you cannot compare Rwanda to Kenya.
Kipchumba stated,”Rwanda is not like Kenya. Rwanda is an autocracy and there whatever the President says is the law. For every decision you make in this country you must go through a proposal then Parliament then public participation. Then after you go through all the processes you go through the court and that is our country.
”You cannot compare the political situation in Rwanda and the size of the country with our country and our democracy. That is why we have to employ technology to deal with corruption and cartelism,” he added.
Netizens reacted;
Oguda wrote,”Murkomen didn’t stop at calling Rwanda an autocracy, he actually went ahead and reminded viewers that Rwanda is so small that even Kajiado County is bigger than it. Bwana someone return my Malaria vaccine because I want to be alive when Kigali decides to respond no matter what.”
Edgar wrote,”CS Kipchumba Murkomen has called Rwanda an autocracy on national TV. He didn’t stop there he said that what President Kagame says there becomes law and Rwanda is smaller than Kajiado County. Does he know the weight of his statement in diplomatic ties? Edwin Sifuna once said that When you appoint incompetent people they embarrass you. We are waiting for a kickback from Rwanda.”
Another one opined,”In under three months, the Ruto Gov’t has picked a fight with the Gov’t of Uganda, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo and now Rwanda. Down here in Tanzania, the citizens have become bolder talking aimlessly about a certain next-door neighbour who speaks fluent English but can’t feed itself in darkness.”
