Shocking Details Emerge as DCI exhumes body of KVDA boss who went missing 12 years ago: Directorate of criminal investigations in Keiyo South Sub County, on Thursday, exhumed a body believed to be of Silvanus Tubei, a former boss at Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA).
The late Tubei went missing from his home in Kabiemit village on the morning of September 26, 2012.
However, on January 1, 2024, Some children who were collecting firewood around his palatial home bumped into remains buried in a shallow grave.
The children proceeded to pull out a blanket buried along a flower bed, only to be struck by an odour.
Tubei’s clothes, believed to be the ones he wore on the disappearance day, were also found buried together with the blanket.
Authorities have transferred the collected remains to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary, where a DNA test will be done to ascertain if really the remains belong to Tubei.
Two main suspects in the disappearance case, Tubei’s estranged wife( possession of the deceased’s mobile phone) and one other individual, were released after the prosecution lacked evidence.
Tubei’s wife relocated abroad immediately after she was declared innocent. Questions on whether she will be deported to answer on the case are yet to be answered.
