Lead Detective Explains Operation at Kawira Mwangaza’s residence: Upper Eastern Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Coordinator Lenny Kisaka has confirmed that the detectives camped at the home of Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza on Saturday due to the ongoing investigations over the murder of Meru blogger Daniel Muthiani alias sniper.
While addressing the media during the operation, Kisaka outlined that police investigations were at an advanced stage as detectives figure out what happened to the blogger before he met his untimely death.
Kisaka stated,”We are conducting an investigation into the murder of sniper. We have been to several scenes. We have brought on board a forensic team led by the Director of homicide from the DCI headquarters,”
“The house of the governor is one of the many places we are visiting in the process of collecting what is relevant to the matter we are investigating,” he added.
He affirmed that the detectives were following major leads, therefore, the public should remain calm as they complete their investigations.
He stated,”We want to tell the public that the investigations are at a very advanced stage and in case there is anything, we will rely on the media to convey the message to the public. Investigations are very focused on the evidence that will lead us to the court of law.”
