Shock as Isiolo woman stabs husband to death, surrenders to police: Detectives in Isiolo are investigating the circumstances surrounding the killing of a man by his wife at Poolman area in Bulapesa ward, Isiolo North constituency on Saturday night.

The suspect surrendered to police after stabbing the man several times and leaving him for dead. He died a few moments later while receiving treatment at Isiolo Referral Hospital.

Eyewitnesses told the Media that the deceased was rushed to the hospital bleeding profusely from his stomach where he was stabbed several times, badly injuring his intestines.

Confirming the incident was Isiolo Sub-County Police boss William Kiambi who said the woman is being interrogated as detectives try to unfold the motive behind the crime.

“The suspect is in custody helping our team to establish what happened before the tragic incident,” Mr. Kiambi said, urging couples to embrace dialogue in resolving conflicts and shun resorting to violence.

Neighbors, who chose to remain anonymous due to the sensitivity of the matter, told the Media that the young couple was involved in a domestic dispute.

“At some point, they were advised to go their separate ways, but they agreed to give it one last try, only for the violence to claim the man’s life,” a neighbor said.

The suspect will be arraigned tomorrow and is expected to be charged with murder.
