CCTV Footage Reveals Last Moments of 19 yr old who Fell from 10th Floor in Kasarani: DCI detectives attached in Nairobi are probing the death of a 19-year-old girl who allegedly died after falling from the 10th floor of an apartment in Thome estate, Kasarani area.
They are pursuing three people who were in contact with the girl and her partner who was found unconscious with stab wounds inside an Airbnb.
A CCTV footage captured the last moments when the two checked into the apartment at around 3 am Saturday after a night of merry-making before the girl was found dead wearing a t-shirt only.
In the footage, Lawrence Gitonga is seen leaving the lift on the 10th floor while holding the hand of the 19-year-old girl.
He heads in the wrong direction before turning back and heading straight to the Airbnb.
He goes for the house keys and comes back to open. This whole time, the girl is waiting outside the door.
Gitonga manages to open and the girl is seen entering the house first before he follows.
This is the last time the girl was seen alive as hours later her lifeless body was found outside the apartment. She only had a red T-shirt.
In a surprise turn of events, the man she had checked in with at the Airbnb apartment was found unconscious inside the house with eight stab wounds on the chest and back.
Blood splattered on the floor of the sitting room and bathroom walls a clear indication of either a struggle between two people or a man fighting for his life.
Gitonga who was rushed to Uhai Neema Hospital after being found unconscious inside the house is under police guard at the hospital as he is treated as the main suspect.
Police are expected to visit a club in the Roysambu area where the two are believed to have met on Friday night before they drove to Thome where they had more drinks.
Detectives are also studying CCTV footage and monitoring their last movements to unfold the mysterious murder.
The body of the 19-year-old girl is lying at City Mortuary pending Autopsy and Identification.
