Embarambamba Finally Speaks After Gov’t order to Pull Down His Songs: Through a video released to the internet, Embarambamba is pleading with KFCB to be merciful with him after realising his mistakes in his various songs.
The singer stated,”Kenyans, I am sorry. A man can make mistakes but I’m sincerely sorry. All those I have offended through my songs, I Am sorry. But I am not capable of raising the ammount to the tune of 6.4 Million that has been put on me by the Classification Board,”
The breakdown of the fees is as follows: Licensing fees for 1000 units amounting to 5,000 per unit totalling to 5,000,000. Filming fees and extensions for 1000 days amounting to 1000 per unit totalling to one Million. Classification fees for 100 Minutes amounting to 4000 per unit totalling to 400,000.
The singer is now pleading with the board to have mercy on him since he cannot afford the amount, they shouldvallow him to leave some of his songs on YouTube.
He stated,”Instead of deleting all my songs from YouTube, I plead that instead I leave some of the clean songs so that the can help me with raising my kids and be able to take them to school.”
The singer underscored that he regrets his actions and wishes to be pardoned for the sake of his kids whom he says were the reason he started doing the songs in the first place for a better life.
