Headteacher and 3 others arrested after 13 yr old Student is Found Dead on Office Balcony: Detectives attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Saturday arrested a headteacher in Buruburu after a 13-year-old pupil was found dead in the school . 

In a report from the DCI on Saturday, the pupil’s lifeless body was found outside the school director’s office, having fallen from a higher floor.

Upon investigations, the detectives established that the injuries on the body were not consistent with a fall from a higher floor as insinuated by the school management.

Apart from the headteacher, School director,  the accountant and another member of staff have also been arrested to aid with investigations to ascertain details that led to the suspected murder.

According to a report recorded by the school Director at the police station, the class eight pupil at the boarding institution was discovered missing at 6.30 pm, after she failed to show up for supper.

“The reporter indicated that a search had then been conducted throughout the school’s eight-storey building before stumbling on her lifeless body at a 1st-floor balcony outside the Director’s office,” DCI noted.

The police have since processed the site now assumed to be a scene of crime, and instructed both the staff and the pupils to keep off the area until the investigations are done.

The body has been moved to Mama Lucy Hospital Mortuary pending autopsy
