Lamu County Commissioner Kipngetich Ronoh is dead.
Lamu County Commissioner Kipngetich Ronoh is dead: Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki has mourned the Late Lamu County Commissioner Louis Kipng’etich Rono who died after battling an illness.
In a statement to the media houses, CS Kindiki highlighted that Rono served the country with patriotism and dedication for 28 years with integrity.
Kindiki condoled with the family of the late Rono adding that he served the nation with distinction in various ranks and stations throughout his career.
He further stated that the late county commissioner will be remembered for leading Lamu County Security and Intelligence Team in the war on terror in Boni Forest.
Sending his condolences also was Interior Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo, who mourned the late Rono as a diligent and dedicated National Government Administrative Officer (NGAO).
“He will be remembered for his selflessness in the service of others and the country. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends,” the PS said.
Notably, Lamu West MP Stanley Muthama stated that the deceased was a significant part of the community in matters security, public participation, peace, cohesion and integration.
“I pass my heartfelt condolences to his family and those who interacted with him in the line of duty,” Muthama said.
