Ruto Announces Ksh10 Fuel Prices Drop: President William Ruto on Sunday, April 14 revealed that the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) will reduce the prices of fuel by Ksh10 today.
The president was addressing Kenyans at Nyeri County during a church service, where he underscored that this was part of the government’s plan to lower the cost of living.
He said, “The fuel prices were high but today the prices will go down by Ksh10,”
This comes hours after the Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura announced that EPRA would announce reduced fuel prices later today.
As of now,Fuel in Nairobi is retailing at 199.15, Ksh190.38 and Ksh188.74 for petrol, diesel and kerosene respectively.
Meanwhile, during the church service, Ruto emphasised that the government is headed in the right direction and assured Kenyans that the government had a plan.
President Ruto stated,”A year ago people were worried asking ‘where are we going’ but I told you that we must make the right decision. Unga was retailing at Ksh200 but now it’s at Ksh100,”
Additionally, The president highlighted that his efforts had seen the strengthening of the shilling from Ksh160 to Ksh130 against the dollar.
