Gov’t addresses Schools and Parents Defying Ruto’s Order, Released Students To Schools
This comes after A section of schools urged parents to ignore President Ruto’s Order and allow students back to school for their second term.
The president on Friday Announced that school will not be reopened until further notice, Therefore, directing the Ministry of Education to postpone the re-opening of all schools
“The Ministry of Education is directed to postpone the re-opening of all schools in the country for the second term until further notice,” said Ruto on Friday.
Mwaura has now added that action will be taken against those found not adhering to guidelines saying they will be dealt with according to the law.
“Some of these schools are being used as rescue centres. So when they re-open, where do they expect members of the public who have been relocated to go?” Mwaura posed.
He added that the government is coordinating the relocation and evacuation of the affected members of the public in order to provide temporary shelter for displaced persons.
