Chopper Ferrying Gov’t Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura Makes Emergency Landing Enroute to Kisumu: Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura on Wednesday, May 8, revealed that a chopper that was carrying him alongside Kenya Red Cross officials made an emergency landing while on its way to Kisumu.
Speaking to the press, Mwaura revealed that the pilot had to land in Kikuyu, Kiambu County citing safety concerns for the people on board.
Mwaura detailed that the chopper could not continue with the journey because the weather was poor, affecting visibility
He positively affirmed that all the occupants were safe during the emergency landing.
He stated, “I am safe fellow Kenyans. Our plane had to make an emergency landing in Gishungo, Kikuyu Constituency due to poor weather conditions.
“Idriss Ahmed the Secretary General of the Kenya Redcross and I had gone to Nyando in Kisumu to deliver relief of Non-Food Items (NFIs) to the Floods Affected Persons (FAPs). We arrived home safely and we thank God for this,” he added.
