KDF Officers Assault Nairobi Cops, Rescue & Hide Suspect in Barracks: Another incident of KDF officers harrassing cops happened on Saturday Morning Near Waiyaki Way.
The police officers attached at Spring Valley Police Station in Westlands were on Saturday morning assaulted by the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers during a routine patrol.
Reportedly, this happened incident when the police identified a suspicious character riding on a motorcycle in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
The officers followed the suspect along Kitisuru Road to Waiyaki Way and managed to intercept him near Red Hill/Waiyaki Way roundabout.
As they were interrogating the suspect, three military personnel manning Kabete Barracks approached the roundabout and demanded that the suspect be released
The two police officers went ahead to introduce themselves and stated the reasons for stopping the suspect but their request did not sit right with the KDF officers, they started throwing blows atvone of the officers who sustained injuries on the right leg below the knee.
The chaos attracted a gang of military officers who came as backup and overpowered the two officers, rescuing the suspect in the process.
As Captured in the police report, the individual rode on his motorcycle with the KDF officers into Kabete Barracks.
The report read,”The suspect with his motorcycle was left at Kabete Barracks to avoid further confrontation.”
