Tension Heat up as a Security Ring of armored vehicles has been deployed around State House: Heavy security presence has been witnessed today at Nairobi including state house where the president of Kenya resides.
In photos and videos circulating online, armoured vehicles had surrounded the state house of Kenya, ahead of Today’s Total Shutdown.
Stephen Mutoro Wrote,” A first in Kenya since independence: Heavy presence of red-beret elite Reece squad of GSU with dozens of armoured police tankers outside State House, Nairobi main Gate A – ahead of Gen Z #RejectFinanceBill2024. Are security agencies in extreme panic mode? Why make it appear as if the presidential palace is under siege?”
Taking it to his X platform, Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna lamented how police have blocked him from accessing KICC Building.
According to the politician, Officers deployed at the city are not from Nairobi, as witnessed in protests before.
He stated,”The police officers deployed in Nairobi today are clearly not from here. Ruto has brought his village mates and put them in command of the formations around parliament. I know this because the one in charge of the unit outside the supreme court tried to block me from accessing my office at KICC just now. Such cowards.”
