CS Machogu Invoked After Parents Expose School Heads Embezzling Funds, Hold A Protest Calling For Resignation: Parents with students at Mamunga Primary School in Voi, Taita Taveta County on Tuesday stormed the school demanding the resignation of the headteacher.

The parents disrupted learning at the school emphasising that they would not leave until their issues were resolved and demands met.

“We need to see evidence, let him bring receipts to justify that the toilet constructed was worth Ksh400,000. We need accountability,” one of the parents remarked.

According to the parents, the headmaster and other officials in the school allegedly misappropriated funds meant for school.

The parents have called upon Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu to intervene And issue a directive immediately.

“All we are saying is that they should go, the treasurer, headmaster and their juniors. They sit in offices demanding a lot of money from us parents,” one of the parents lamented.

Besides the headmaster’s resignation within 14 days, the parents are demanding the establishment of a new parent association immediately.
