Minister Scampers to Safety After Gen Z Heckled & Grabbed Mic During Funeral Service: A Machakos County minister was on Saturday forced to run for safety after she met a hostile reception during a funeral ceremony.
Rita Ndunge who is the Roads minister in Machakos County was attending the funeral service of Erickson Kyalo Mutisya who unfortunately met his death during the Anti- Government Protests.
The Master of Ceremony (MC) asked Rita Ndunge to come to the stage to greet mourners and eulogise the departed young man.
Sensing the hostile crowd, Rita Ndunge hesitated to take the mic begging the MC to let her pass the opportunity.
However, Rita Ndunge took the mic and asked Justice for Mutisya before The crowd statt booing her and demanded to get off the stage.
The congregated mourners stormed to the stage and grabbed the mic from her as the crowd continued to heckle.
Fearing for her safety, she quickly descended from the stage and disappeared into the crowd.
“I just wanted her to greet you,” the MC apologised to the worked-up crowd.
This comes days after Governor Wavinya Ndeti claimed that there was a hatched plan by her political opponents to send young men to her office.
Wavinya stated,” I am ready to dialogue with Machakos Gen Zs. I know many of them are jobless and the economy is not favourable.”
