Two Radio Presenters Die Moments After Celebrating 4-Year Anniversary; Two radio presenters from Thome FM on Saturday, July 27, died following a fatal road accident along Sagana-Makutano Highway.
According to the media station, the two journalists namely Stephen Waigwa and Caroline Nyarwai had just celebrated the radio’s 4-year anniversary moments before the accident.
According to reports from Thome fm, The two were headed to church, around 7:00 pm in the Riandira area in Kirinyaga County, before they met their untimely death.
The statement Read,”Radio Thome FM has been thrown into mourning after two presenters namely Stephen Waigwa alias Stevoh Chifu and Caroline Nyarwai alias Carol Kams De Luciah confirmed dead in a fatal accident. This happens hours after Radio Thome Fm birthday party celebrating 4 years of broadcast.”
“They were going back to kesha as both were Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) faithful when they were involved in the car crash,” it was reported.
Waigwa was the one who was coordinating the anniversary celebrations but had to cut short his participation to go back to church.
Sadly, the two never got to the house of worship. They were rushed to hospital after the accident but were confirmed dead on arrival.
