Duale Finally Addresses Claims of A Relationship of Fear With Military Chiefs: Environment CS Nominee and Former Defence CS has denied Claims That His Assertiveness Triggered High-Level Cabinet Swap.

President William Ruto’s sudden decision to swap Duale with Soipan Tuya last month sparked so many questions and speculations pointing to this high-profile shuffle.

According to reports, the shift may have been prompted by discomfort among top military officials with Duale’s assertive and overbearing style.

During his vetting before the parliamentary committee on Friday, Duale was questioned by Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi about the alleged fear he instilled within the Defence Ministry.

Amisi posed, “Is it true, and why did the military fear you?”

In response, Duale denied any fear among the Defence Ministry’s ranks, attributing his reputation to his distinctive approach. “I don’t think the rank and file and the leadership of the Defence Ministry fear me,” he stated.
