Prime Suspect in Kware Killings Collins Jumaisi Has Escaped From Jail: According to reports, Jumaisi escaped alongside 12 other suspects believed to be Eritreans, on the morning of Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from Gigiri Police Station.
He had been arrested in July with detectives after he was linked to the gruesome murders that led to the discovery of multiple bodies, mostly of women at a dumpsite in Kware
The DCI has confirmed the escape of the 13 suspects saying they have initiated a thorough search. According to the DCI, the suspects cut a wire mesh before scaling a perimeter wall.
Makadara Principal Magistrate Irine Gichobi had granted the prosecution team orders to detain jumaisi for 21 days pending completion of investigations.
Jumaisi confessed to the murder of his wife as his first victim before disposing of her body in the Kware pit which is barely 100 metres away from his house
