5 Dead, Several Injured in Multiple Vehicle Accident Along Major Highway

5 Dead, Several Injured in Multiple Vehicle Accident Along Major Highway: Five people have lost their live whereas several others are nursing injuries following a tragic accident along the Eldoret-Malaba Highway involving three vehicles.

According to reports, the accident involved a tractor, Probox and an oil tanker which unfortunately claimed the lives of five passengers.

Two other travellers sustained serious injuries and have since been transferred to Eldoret hospital for emergency medical attention.

Police confirmed that The accident occurred at the Murungi Area along the busy stretch in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Police who arrived at the scene narrated that the oil tanker was moving at a high speed which made the driver lose control resulting to the tanker hitting a tractor before ramming into an oncoming Probox.

The tragic incident claimed lives of five people in the Probox. Two others who sustained injuries jumped out of the vehicle. However, Drivers of the oil tanker and the tractor escaped without any injuries.
