Witnesses Reveal Driver’s Blunder in Muhoroni Crash That Killed 13 People
Witnesses Reveal Driver’s Blunder: Speaking to the press, one of the witnesses claimed that the driver of the lorry was speeding when he veered off the road before ramming into an oncoming matatu en-route to Kisumu.
In a report from the witness, the lorry lost control after attempting to dodge several potholes along the highway only for it to get into a head-on collision with the matatu.
One Witness Narrated,”The lorry was from Londiani while the matatu was heading to Kisumu. I saw the lorry speeding before ramming into the matatu,”
“I then heard the driver of the matatu say, ‘Why does the driver of the lorry want to kill us?’ only for me to see the lorry leaning on the matatu. I also heard a woman groaning inside the vehicle questioning, ‘Why is the driver of the lorry killing us yet we’re taking our children to school’”
“I was closely following the lorry and it was being driven at a high speed. The lorry was attempting to dodge the pothole but he had already lost control and it seemed he was on a drug,” claimed another witness.
The locals have since threatened to go out in the streets and demonstrate if the government fails construct a speed bump along the road.
“We want to appeal to the government of Kenya today that henceforth, let the road be redone,” one resident stated
