11 in Critical Condition Following A Matatu Accident Along Nakuru-Eldoret Highway
According to the Kenya Red Cross, no fatalities were reported from the accident involving a 14-seater PSV and a lorry.
The 11 injured individuals were taken to Molo Subcounty Hospital by rescue teams from the Kenya Red Cross and Kenya police.
This accident comes on the heels of a deadly crash in the same area, in which an LPG trailer lost control, leading to the death of one individual and injuries to several others. The LPG trailer smashed into three vehicles, including a matatu and a hearse, both of which ended up in catastrophic condition.
The matatu, a 14-seater, was found upside down after rolling down the escarpment. Miraculously, there were survivors, though some were trapped inside the vehicle for a time before being rescued.
