KeNHA Announces A 32-day Traffic Disruption: KeNHA has outlined that a section of the road near Syokimau Railway Station will experience disruption along the Nairobi-bound lanes.
According to the authority, the disruption is scheduled to start on Friday, September 20, 2024, and run till Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
KeNHA Stated, “The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Mombasa Road (A8) near Syokimau Railway Station will experience traffic disruption along the Nairobi-bound lanes from Friday, September 20, 2024, to Tuesday, October 22, 2024,”
Motorists using the road to access Nairobi and other sections within the city will be compelled to prepare accordingly for the 32 days as KeNHA will be working on that section near Syokimau Railway Station to erect a mid-span footbridge foundation.
According to the authority, The Exercise is also aimed at realignment of Mombasa Road along that specific area.
“This is to allow for realignment of the road and construction of a mid-span footbridge foundation at the median between the Nairobi bound lanes and the adjacent Nairobi Expressway fence,” KeNHA explained.
“KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan below and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site,” they added.
